You have seen, heard and read the national news, "Slim pickin's in the patch", "Hard times in pumpkin patch" and the dreaded "Boo-hoo year for great pumpkins." With these headlines, it seems that you will not be able to carry on the Halloween tradition of the family pumpkin carving contest or enjoying Grandma Betty's infamous pumpkin pie this Thanksgiving.
Here in Missouri, you have nothing to fear. Just like Linus said in the children's animated program, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, "go out and sing pumpkin carols." Missouri pumpkin patches are plentiful.
While some farms have not seen the bumper crops they have witnessed in recent years - somewhere on a Missouri farm or at a grocery store near you - your great Missouri pumpkin is awaiting your purchase for a Halloween or Thanksgiving celebration.
Grab the kids and hop in the car and go out and find your Missouri pumpkin. To find a Missouri farm near you, visit the AgriMissouri's Buyer's Guide. While you are there, pick up some other Missouri products. You won't be disappointed!
