The theme of the 2010 Missouri State Fair was "Growing Great Memories" and the annual exposition of Missouri agriculture fullfilled that promise. It was a great fair, with good attendance, pleasant weather most days and plenty of memories to last a lifetime.
The highlight of the final weekend was the Sale of Champions, held Saturday, Aug. 22. This live auction of the champion animals from various youth competitions raises money for the Youth in Agriculture program, which funds scholarships for Missouri youth pursuing agricultural education. This year's Sale of Champions raised $99,750.
