The cool breeze outside is our first reminder that fall weather is on its way to Missouri. The fall season brings with it many family fun activities, including corn mazes. Our AgriMissouri feature member of the week hosts an exciting corn maze each year for your enjoyment. The Liberty Corn Maze is comprised of five individual mazes within one large maze. The mazes are a bit tricky, but you will come across some bridges throughout the maze where you can see a birds-eye-view of the maze. These bridges, along with the friendly Corn Helpers will help you with your exit strategy if you lose your way.
For 2007, The Liberty Corn Maze used their GPS to perfectly cut an image of the MU/KU Border Showdown. This was a very popular design! An image of the field is pictured to the left. Can you make out the MU tiger?
Below are some corn maze facts to help you decide which maze you would like to do. If you are up for the challenge, you can venture through the longest maze, but if you are up for a REAL challenge you will try to make it through them all!
- The orange maze is in the shape of a Giraffe and a Tiger. This maze is 1.1 miles.
- The light green maze is in the shape of some monkeys. This maze is 1.6 miles.
- The dark green maze is in the shape of an antelope and a rhino. This maze is 2.6 miles.
- The blue maze is in the shape of an alligator and a kangaroo. This maze is 3.6 miles.
The Liberty Corn Maze also hosts a one and a half acre soybean field maze for the younger family members. This maze, called the HyVee Lil' Sprouts Maze, is just the right height and distance for the little ones to enjoy.
The Liberty Corn Maze is now open through October 26. Be sure to dress in some comfortable clothing, bring your camera and have a good time! You can print a $2 off coupon here!
