Earlier this month, the USDA Farm Service Agency posted an announcement online and in a news release reminding Missouri producers of upcoming deadlines for disaster assistance programs, including the Supplemental Revenue Assistance Payments Program (SURE), Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP), Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honey Bees, and Farm-Raised Fish (ELAP), the Livestock Forage Disaster Program (LFP) and the Tree Assistance Program (TAP).
The most rapidly approaching deadline is for participation in the SURE program - Sept. 30. Fore more information about the SURE program, a fact sheet is available online and through your local FSA office.
