The First Lady's Pie Contest was a huge hit again this year at the Missouri State Fair! The contest included categories for fruit pies, as well as soft pies with custard or cream filling, and attracted 45 entries!
First Lady Georgeanne Nixon was on hand for a pie-baking workshop Thursday morning, and she and Gov. Nixon joined in to sample some of the pies and announce the winners, including the best of show prize, which went to a Hawaiian-themed pie by entered by Megan White!
