Several auctions were closed early week in observance of the Labor Day Holiday, which resulted in fewer receipts for the state as a whole. Much of the state did received rain over the last week a general 2-3 for most but some reports of up to or slightly over 8 inch fell in spots. Although still in drought status; conditions are have greatly improved over the last week and many producers now even seeing a shade of green as a fresh growth of grass is evident in pastures.
