Based on this classic family photo, can you guess the name of our newest AgriMissouri member company? Marty, Betsy, Lil, Anne and Joy, from left to right, are the namesakes for 5 Sisters Foods.
The company is dedicated fresh, all natural, gluten-free Mediterranean products. Their product line includes sauces and dressings with names like "Spicy Cousin" or "Sweet Sibling," references to the familial bonds that are the foundation for the business.
"Growing Up and Dining together at the dinner table was an important part of the day for my family and me. The food was good and the conversation fortified our family bond. Salad was a feature at every dinner and the dressing was always the same. Now I want to share this special dressing with you and your family." Betsy Kassab (founder/owner)
5 Sisters Foods products are created from recipes learned from their paternal grandmother, a native of Dasmascus. Kassab said the treasured sauce "traveled in a mason jar to countless church and social events." It adds bold ethnic flavors to salads, or over seafood, poultry or grilled vegetables.
