Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers were mostly steady around the state. Locally, reporters noted uneven markets. Demand was good, supply moderate. Some regions of the state have lost buyers from the auction stands to the tractor seat as planting and other field work demands their attention. As more areas of the state find suitable field conditions to plant and prep for summer, demand is likely to soften with only the draughts meeting the kind, color and condition attributes the order specifies getting attention.
